Cédric Chèvre named co-CEO of Décovi

Cédric Chèvre has been appointed co-CEO of Décovi (from 01 February, 2022). Having been immersed from an early age in the company, which his grandfather founded in 1947, this logical decision rewards the brilliant career of the young mechanical engineer.

 Vicques, January 30, 2022 – After completing his HES degree in mechanical engineering, Cédric Chèvre began his professional career in 2010 in machine tool design at Tornos, then at Willemin-Macodel. During this period, he took evening classes in order to complete an MBA in management.

In 2015, his father brought him into the family business, Décovi, to take responsiblity for oscillating weights with the success we know today.

“As a child, Cédric grew up in the Décovi environment,” says Claude Chèvre. “He was absorbed in the spirit and values of the company, and I knew that he would be able to integrate into the team, be appreciated and add significant value to Décovi.”  Cédric soon became production manager and then assistant general manager in January 2021.

At age 34, Cédric Chèvre joins his father at the head of the Jura-based company, specialising in turning and milling high-precision parts, primarily for the watchmaking industry. “This appointment guarantees the family succession within Décovi,” says Claude Chèvre. “It is also demonstrates that Acrotec Group respects the DNA of each company in the group.”
