Kevin Streit becomes CEO of CAPSA

After a year as co-CEO of CAPSA, Kevin Streit will become the new CEO of the Bern-based company on January 1, 2024, following the gradual departure of his father, Daniel Streit.

A benchmark in the field of high-end watch dressings and movements, CAPSA had been co-managed since January 2023 by Kevin Streit and his father, Daniel Streit, to ensure a smooth transition into the future. This change of governance at the head of CAPSA will therefore, as planned, see a new decisive stage with the retirement of the man who had been at the helm of the company for 25 years.

“I’m leaving CAPSA at the best possible time,” confides Daniel Streit. “The company is set to record its best ever financial year in 2023, with sales in excess of CHF 56 million. This confirms my decision. I’m leaving with peace of mind and total confidence in the future of this magnificent company. I will remain at Kevin’s disposal for a few more months at a reduced rate of activity, before stepping down permanently from the operational side at the end of June, while remaining Chairman of the Board of Directors.”

 

After graduating as an ES Microtechnology Technician specializing in Industrial Processes, Kevin Streit, 32, began his professional career at CAPSA as an Automation Developer over 11 years ago. He patiently worked his way up through the ranks at CAPSA before taking over as Head of Technical & Quality Management in 2020. He recently completed an EMBA in management and leadership at HE-ARC in Neuchâtel. As of January 1, 2024, Kevin Streit will become CAPSA’s sole CEO.

“This natural transition has been extremely well planned,” explains Kevin Streit. “I’m proud and happy to succeed my father with a very solid general management team, an incredible team of 182 employees, including around ten additional recruits in 2023, and a machine park that has grown by another twenty units this year. CAPSA is ready to take on all the new challenges facing our watchmaking industry.”
